Atirudra Anushthan

Atirudra Anushthan is the most supreme and powerful ritual performed to praise Lord Shiva and to receive His divine blessings. In this, the Ekadashini Rudri (chanting of the Rudra chapter in eleven rounds) is recited 1,331 times. This ritual gives relief from untimely death, incurable diseases, and the negative effects of planets. It removes all negative forces from human life and provides freedom from fear. Atirudra Anushthan can be performed in three ways: Recitation (chanting of mantras only), Ritualistic bathing (offering water, milk, etc., to Lord Shiva along with mantras), and Fire ceremonies (fire offerings with mantras). This ritual pleases all Gods and Goddesses and opens the path of well-being in a person’s life.
